Why I loved the dust today

The conversation went like this:

"Where are you?" (Said with a nervous tone to his voice.)
'I'm in my office.  Where are you?'
"I'm on my way home.  Are you okay?  Are you going home?"
'Yeah, I'm fine.  I have a lot of work to do. I'm going to stay here.  Why?'
"I was worried about you in the dust storm.  It is going to get worse outside. How do you feel? (Still nervous tone...)"

WTF?!.... wait..... could it be......
SOMEBODY CARES ABOUT ME!  Holy snap!  I mean, not my girlfriends, but ... a guy!  What?!  No way.

Mashallah Mashallah Mashallah.

It took me about an hour before it hit me what had just transpired.  I know this is seemingly a little thing, but it is a big thing to me.

... and the angels were singing.... and there were harps playing softly in the background... and there was a dust storm that left about an inch of crap on my car.  And I had a great day from a few kind words because he took the time to worry about my well-being.

It was a beautiful day.

Wow! this shows how SO you are nice with others who(unfortunately) care about you.

But no wonder, yes No wonder. why?
Desert is always used to represent:
Solitude, Death, with life only after the long awaited rain. Nothingness and Loneliness.
And with such wonderful qualities, I definitely agree with you ONLY YOUR GIRLFRIENDS(who are always interested in silly things) care about you.
hopefully you approved the comment as soon as you drink your Bario
best regards
Ahmad

Thanks Expat.

Ahmad (and not my Ahmad), I read your comment several times and I still don't get it. But... okey dokey.

Stumbled across your site. Worked in Kuwait for awhile.

You're suprised when somebody cares about you? Babes, it's time for you to re-evaluate. It's hard to believe that as a woman you don't have more people around who'll pick up a phone every now and then.

Anonymous April 7: Thanks. :) I have a lot of people who pick up the phone; and I have a lot of male people who pick up the phone; but what I don't have is a MAN who I am interested in who calls me to see how I am. I just got out of a relationship with someone who ran in the opposite direction if he thought I needed comforting in any possible way. I'm just surprised when someone I like likes me back and doesn't have an ulterior motive... but then, I'm cynical these days so maybe he does. And yes, I evaluate/re-evaluate/evaluate/re-evaluate, but you know what, a girl gets tired and just wants someone to be nice once in a while.

You are obviously a very kind person with a white heart. Sadly this is often mistaken as a 'weakness' by some. And though this has obviously caused you some pain the past, it certainly doesn't take away from who you really are. Yeah, you might be a bit cynical, but who isn't? In the end, you're still a wonderful woman who deserves an equally wonderful man... never settle for less!
