A Quick Fix for the Non-Virgin

From BBC

Egypt anger over virginity faking

"A leading Egyptian scholar (male!) has demanded that people caught importing a female virginity-faking device into the country should face the death penalty.

Abdul Mouti Bayoumi said supplying the item was akin to spreading vice in society, a crime punishable by death in Islamic Sharia law.

The device is said to release liquid imitating blood, allowing a female to feign virginity on her wedding night.

There is a stigma about pre-marital sex in some conservative Arab societies.
The contraption is seen as a cheap and simple alternative to hymen repair surgery, which is carried out in secret by some clinics in the Middle East.

It is produced in China and has already become available in other parts of the Arab world.
The device is reported to be on sale in Syria for $15.

Professor Bayoumi, a scholar at the prestigious al-Azhar University, said it undermined the moral deterrent of fornication, which he described as a crime and one of the cardinal sins in Islam.

Members of parliament in Egypt have also called for banning import of the item. "

It is pathetic that women have to resort to this. I have had friends who have either gotten their husbands drunk on their wedding nights so they couldn’t remember anything – to friends who have had the hymen repair surgery (which they have told me costs around $500). How many husbands are virgins on their wedding nights? Well, for $15 (KD 4.300), I guess this thing is worth it to some. Sheeeet - for that much, you could stock a whole closet of them. Thats cheaper than the mascara I buy.

Asalamikom
yes that is really an important thingd may causee a great matter in egypt and so most islamic countries....they have to call it the deciet device better than its real name...
- but tell me,, are you agree with it?
- Will you agree to do it if you have the same problem and decieve that innocent husband???

1) No way to determine if a husband is innocent.

2) Why should anyone require that a potential spouse be a virgin as a prerequisite to marrage?

3) As long as honor killings still exist and women are ostracized by societies, then yes, I agree with such a device.

virginity is not a proof of honor.

arab societies punish "females" but at the same time they tolerate with "males" for the same sin related to honor.

In Islam men and women are punished the same way for commiting a sin.

man must trust the woman he choses to continue his life with. he shouldn't wait for the "BLOOD Night".
he can invistigate BEFORE wedding night.

by the way
a husband should provide a solid proof that he is VIRGIN...
starting by providing details about
past trips,
email acounts
and contacts on mobile.

Anonymous - YES! Well put, my friend!

As for me personally, I wouldn't ever want a virgin guy. Just shoot me if I ever get one. All that training and answering stupid questions. Just thinking about it is making me upset. Give me a healthy guy (with honor!) who has been with enough women to KNOW how to actually please one and that's just fine! I'm not talking Porno Guy or anything, but just someone who has taken a good walk around the park....

If I could rove around Kuwait with an ice cream cart full of these, I'd just give them out packaged with condoms, for free. Be the random sex-positive ice cream weirdo. There's a career thought...

An Egyptian friend of mine wrote a really good article on this issue recently: http://chronikler.com/middle-east/womens-issues/honour-made-in-china/

Anonymous 7:29 - I wonder what the statistics on condom sales are in Kuwait. I am guessing that it is very low. I also wonder what the statistics on AIDS and other STDs are in Kuwait. I am guessing very high.

Handing out condoms is an excellent idea anywhere. Regardless of what is said, people are doing it.

DG; you touche(ed) a very important subject. In today's times we need to look beyond such antics wherein to draw blood is a must on a night which God HIMSELF solemnises. Being a man I can vouch that I dont care a rats arse if my wife to be has had a sexual relationship with a different man, he was there before I jumped on to the bus, (figure of speech - 'womens lib' please dont get me wrong)
Question - why does a women have to prove her vanity and modesty and men go scott free after having numerous one night stands? The devil / evil is in the brain of the man who insists on drawing blood; not the lady!

DG: Condom sales are next to nothing in the Mid East, social stigma, frowned upon and peer pressure - "ha ha, you used a rubber" syndrome are winning the battle against AIDS and other sexual diseases. Hell!!, there arent even the birds and bee's talks doing the rounds in liberal households leave modern outlook / approach families.

I'll end by saying - in one of your recent posts someone had remarked a very strong statement:
Swine Flu kills a few 1000's and every one uses a mask;
AIDS / STD's kill millions and still no takers for condoms.

It IS pathetic that some women feel they need to resort to this device. My neighbor's 5 year old daughter fell crotch-first on a low wall and bled. She tore her hymen and will not bleed on her wedding night (as if it matters anyway). I think it's rather strange that this is even an issue today. Gosh, compare the differences of a male-chauvinistic country that places importance on a woman bleeding on her wedding night to the openness of a sexually-liberated country like Sweden!

OK relating to your words...let me know...If you have 2 girls.. whch one will you marry......virgin or non-vigi???

All that training and answering stupid questions.
That's not true. Most men turn to wild animals in bed - it's just an evolutionary instinct ;-) By the way, virginity (or lack of) can't be applied to men; it's not possible physiologically.

i think pre marriage trial would be more appropriate for both and police should handle virginity test like they test cars for mot

I'm a kuwaiti born and raised, and seriously, people should be more open-minded. Fine, we're muslims, but you're going too far with this crap. I'd actually prefer it if the woman I'm marrying isn't a virgin. And seriously men being upset that their wives aren't virgins? All i can say is, DAFUQ? Condoms are out there, sex is out there, It's going to happen whether you like it or not, might as well sell condoms everywhere so people dont catch disease. Geez guys, you need to open your minds up a little bit.
