Health Clubs - Kuwait

I shared my list of health club prices with Mark of 2:48AM [The B-Sides] and he was kind enough to post them. He has a much larger readership and has way more technical capability than I do.

See the list here.

If anyone has additional information that you can pass me (mens gyms for example), I would really appreciate it. I have been updating this list for our employees, but I also distribute it.

Ummm, this might only seem so to me, but these prices are insane...

The daily ticket to the regular Messilah Beach on ladies day is like KD2 or maybe 4...
Of course it leaves much to be desired, but how long can one roast in the sun anyway?

Hi q8sultana. I researched them not for the beaches/pools, but for the actual gyms and then expanded from there. I wrote a similar article about 4 years ago doing a comparisson.

They're not cheap and most of them don't offer financing the way they do in the US.

so you probably have to pay in full up front?

and no douchebag protection?

I joined Platinum gym in Salmiya about 6 weeks back and will grab a price list for you - I can't recall the long term options as I'm paying per month rather - KWD35. i.e. Even with my ratty log blonde locks I'm never sure if I'm going to pick up trouble with some of the weirdo's in this town - even been cruised by a jetski trio? .. happened this weekend and I'm a guy getting hassled about once a week so I don't know how you femmes are handling it.

Hi. Could u hperhaps help me on a question? I will be visiting kuwait in dec/jan for 3-4 weeks and staying in Salmiya. I was wondering if anĂ½ of the health clubs offer memembership for a month or day passes. Many thanks- Al.

Hi, I'm Asiya, just landed in Kuwait from UK. Can any of you recommend the best fitness club? Also, do you know if I can do Indoorwalking in here? Great fitness activity and I already miss it! thank you.

Asiya -

Champions for women in Jabriya has an indoor walking track. Last time I went to check them out, they were pretty good and the prices were better than many. They also have an indoor pool.

Lots of people are mall-walking these days. 360 and Avenues are venues of choice in the mornings (if you aren't working).

It depends where you live and what you want in a club. Many of my friends have joined the Corniche Club, but the prices are staggering.

Crowne Plaza in Farwaniya still seems to be the most reasonably priced/bang for your buck. Open 24/7.
