Kuwait Base Operations Contract Awarded

to.....

ITT

I just know this was a very foolish time for my former employer to disemploy me (lots of giggles).  Oh, but I wish them the very best (without my help).  Suuuuuure I do....

KBOS3 is the contract to support the US military at all bases in Kuwait. CSA has it through the end of December.   Regardless of troop withdrawal from Iraq, the lease at Arifjan (the logistics hub for the region) is FIFTY years.  The troops have to come out of Iraq and go somewhere (through Kuwait).  Equipment has to be forwarded through Kuwait.  Yup, it's going to get leaner, but there will still be work to do.

Has anyone heard anything about the Anham contract?  (more giggles, tee heeeee).  Oops - hire Filipino and Indian drivers ... lots of them... the same ones who held strikes at Agility when they didn't get paid on time...but wait.... they can't get into Iraq any  more, can they?

Karma!  Aint she a BITCH?

It was awarded to ITT - it was announced last week. I was a former CSA and came back home. I miss being in Kuwait but don't miss CSA.

Yep, CSA is dead! Buh-bye....

I am very pleased to announce that the U.S. Army Contracting Command Rock Island Contracting Center has awarded ITT Systems the contract for Kuwait Base Operations & Security Support Services (K-BOSSS). This is a one-year contract with four one-year options, with an estimated total potential value of about $1.4 billion. Under this contract, Systems will provide the full spectrum of life support, transportation, logistics, sustainment, public works, and other base operations services for all U.S. Army facilities in the Kuwait area of responsibility.

I couldn't find the formal announcement on FedBizOps. Where is it?

It went to ITT? Hmm the International Theives and Thugs continue, too bad, I thought another company would get due to ITT's track record. As a former employee of ITT it surprises me but someone is getting paid for sure. KRH their sponsor company, which I worked for must be throwing a big party considering ITT keeps them in business. But ITT people will still be blacklisted due to KRH and their ministry file. So no getting any credit or anything through KRH. Does this mean all the ghetto people left in CSA will transfer to ITT?

ITT has a better record than most the other companies out there. If you look EVERY company has done something wrong, and is doing something wrong. It’s just who can do the work the best while still trying to do the right thing. Also I know plenty of people who have credit from car dealers, banks, and electronics stores and work for ITT. Saying everybody who works or sponsored by a certain company will have no credit is ridiculous....

I heard all of HR is out the door two things about the grapevine - Number 1 it's just rumor, Number 2 most rumors on the GV are true, so take it for it's worth. CSA/HR are some of the most corrupt American's I've ever worked with. Plus the numerous security violtions - can you say OMG? Also, Kuwait is not issuing CSA any more Visa's and those who are there now, if they do not have their Visa 18 will be sent home. That's a lot of people being removed from CSA. ITT only won a part of the contract and unelss Kuwait issues Visa's to those under their protection, everyone else has to leave the country. Can't live/work in Kuwait without a Visa. I also "heard" or maybe I read it (early altzheimer's setting it I think, lol) a company called Triple Canopy won the Force Protection Portion of the contract. Guess we will all find out soon enough.

I'm sure ITT will screw this contract up as well. Already 2 fatalities since APS-5 started........brilliant replacing trained expat labor force with cheaper labor (pakastanis). We're real popular with them right now, anyway. Oh, and whatever happens its the leads fault, not corporate for lowballing the contract. Not trying to be a malcontent, but as I've worked ther for several years, I am in a position to comment. GMASS was a good contract, even if our Program management was jacked up. It is so bad ITT (a fortune 500 company, mind you) is screwing us out of a lousy $30/day FALA. And they wonder why morale is low. And we are not going to make mission......and they want another contract.....

Sorry CSA folks, welcome to still lousy pay, and now you will move to the ghetto with us (I believe you referred to it as New Jack City, previously!) and forget about quality of life stuff, no budget for that mind you.

A protest against the win has been made, and a stop work has been issued. Time will tell; these things can go on for months, even years.
