This website is just what we've needed.  I wonder who runs it.

  1. what is the point of these laws when it is typical that companies in Kuwait ignore them, especially when it comes to Filipino, Indian, etc. workers?

  3. sorry, only wanted to point out that many companies in Kuwait ignore these laws and it does not seem that there is any government agency that will enforce these laws especially for those that do not have wasta. I know plenty of Filipinos, Indians, etc. that have to work hours, days, etc. in violation of these laws...

  4. As an labour law attorney here in Kuwait, I have reviewed this website and it is full of inaccuracies. Please do not rely on this website.

  5. I completely understand, William. It is all very frustrating. The labor law does very little to protect the people who need it the most. Most of the people from the countries you mentioned (and more) are not protected from repercussions from their employers if they file cases at the Ministry of Social Affairs & Labor. It is the, "We'll just get another one" mentality. Ethical behavior, integrity, decency aren't ideals that most companies strive for.

Sad, because most companies are only as good as the people they employ. Treat them well, and they help grow your business.

  6. Paul - Really? Ooops. I didn't look at it thoroughly. I'm still wondering who is running it. I don't believe it is official.

Thanks for stopping by and it is so nice to hear from you! Just a few words on commenting: Through this blog, I won’t tolerate intolerance, hatred, finger-pointing or personal vendettas. If I even get those types of comments, I will most likely delete them because I believe it defeats the purpose of positive efforts and energy. Stop the hate.
