ReplyDeleteI read this too and was SO confused! What the heck are antics?! I thought it was drugs, alcohol, sexual toys... but they really mean like 'tricks'? I'm STILL confused -- which is often how I feel after reading the Arab Times. Little bit of information, poor editing, and no follow-up.
ReplyDeleteEven with the Arabian English you have to be pretty dumb not to be able to figure out that the article was about millions of $$ of antiques smuggled in from abroad -- most likley Libya.
ReplyDeleteI think we got the point that it was antiques, but ridiculous to have that level of "quality" in a leading daily "English" paper.
