"At the end of the 1980s, nineteen-year-old Scott White was leading the highlife in Kuwait City. He had a fast car, gorgeous girl and was "in" with the "in" crowd. But when hes offered a chance at easy money selling drugs, his good fortune takes a turn for the worse - Scotts arrested during his first deal and sentenced to five years in prison. Fortunately for him, things took a dramatic turn for the better during his second year of incarceration - Iraq invaded Kuwait. Amidst the confusion, Scott and his fellow cellmates escaped through a hole in the wall of the prison. After trekking through the desert, he was picked up by a Sudanese family, made it through an Iraqi checkpoint, and fled back to the UK."
There are plenty of dumbasses that today take the same road and are locked up in prison.
I watched this awhile ago, one lucky guy....
ReplyDeleteThere's this show "Banged Up Abroad" in Showtime (Forgot the exact Channel) and you're right, it's ridiculous how they think they can get away by smuggling drugs from the authorities. Most cases are caught in the airports and mostly women!

ReplyDeleteK - You know that "Banged up" is similar to "knocked up" in American slang meaning - pregnant. :)

ReplyDeleteI wanted to know if you have written a book on this. I would love to read it if you have.
